This side-splitting performance takes you on a journey through meeting, dating and mating. It’s a series of “how we first met” stories told by couples and supported by an improv ensemble that re-creates pivotal moments with sketches and songs. The show started in San Francisco in 2001 and has been seen in more than a dozen cities in the United States, Canada, Japan and Australia. The show features a range of couples – gay, straight, conservative, liberal, married 50 years and just starting out – all coping with this crazy little thing called love. $25-$45. 8 p.m. Sat. Herbst Theatre, 401 Van Ness Ave. San Francisco. (415) 392-4400, www.howwefirstmet.com.
